About me

My clinical experience is derived from working in community mental health, where I treated individuals struggling with common and uncommon psychological challenges.  I am experienced in treating depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance abuse and dependency, and relational conflicts. Through my training, I've enjoyed working with diverse backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations.

For me, therapy is a service in which the therapist and patient transform psychological distress into growth and awareness.  I would be honored to share this experience with you. Whether this is your first time working with a therapist, or you’re revisiting the idea, I am certain our work will contribute to your psychological growth.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, during which time I worked as a research assistant for Dr. Salvatore R. Maddi in the Hardiness Institute. After college, I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University, where I was an elected member of the Psi Chi Honors society. With an interest in Psychoanalysis I obtained a certification for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Center of California.
